Gaza's Children: A Childhood Stolen by the Sound of Bombs

They have never known peace.
For Palestinian children in Gaza, the first lullabies were the distant thuds of explosions. Their earliest memories are not of playground laughter, but of trembling under rubble. Their games are not tag or hide-and-seek, but mimicry of the horrors around them—imitating the buzz of drones, the whistle of falling bombs, the screams that follow.
This is not childhood. This is survival in a world that has abandoned them.
A Generation Raised on War
They draw pictures of tanks instead of trees.
They name their toys after martyrs instead of superheroes.
They play "funeral" instead of "house."
These children have been robbed—not just of their homes, but of their innocence. No child should know the sound of an airstrike before the sound of their own name.
No Human—Least of All a Child—Should Endure This
The oppression faced by Palestinians is not war. It is annihilation. It is genocide. And the world watches, debates semantics, and moves on.
Women give birth in bombed-out hospitals, wrapping newborns in scraps of cloth.
Men dig through rubble with bare hands, searching for their families.
Children wake up screaming from nightmares that are not dreams—but memories.
This is not "conflict." This is calculated cruelty.
The World’s Silence is Betrayal
History will ask:
Where were you when Gaza’s children were buried alive?
What did you say when hospitals became graveyards?
Did you look away because it was "too political"?
Allah says in the Quran: "And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children?" (4:75)
We Must Be Their Voice
Boycott – Every dollar spent on Israel’s allies funds more bombs.
Protest – Take to the streets. Demand a ceasefire.
Pray – The Palestinians’ greatest weapon is their faith. Join them in dua.
These children deserve more than our pity. They deserve our rage. They deserve our action.
